How does a local church brand itself well? We sought to answer that question by talking with the leader of a church that has done an exceptional job branding itself. Rev. Jeremy Peters, planting pastor at The Grove’s Cottage Grove Campus, sat down with Minnesota Conference Director of Communications Christa Meland to talk about what branding is, the church’s process of rebranding in conjunction with the launch of its second campus, its brand promise and guiding values, the implicit and explicit ways its brand shows up, and some key questions all church leaders can ask to begin to develop or refine their own local church brand.
